Project Make A Difference

The summer school students at Samuelson Elementary, under the supervision of their teacher Patricia Williamson, completed a project called “Make A Difference”. Students wrote letters, cards, and made special crafts to give to children at Blank children’s Hospital, the Veterans Hospital, Millpond Nursing Home, and the Animal Rescue League. They collected clothing and food to donate to local charities as well. Kids got out into the community to show they care for others! They learned the importance of serving their community and saw the numerous volunteers that are needed to run all of these wonderful facilities. Children learned social skills, and got to practice speaking and asking questions to various community leaders! We really touched the lives of  many  in our community and they forever touched our hearts as well.
